Hi, I am Jessica Hodge!
I bought my first camera at the earliest age of 10 and would photograph my animals and nature around me! I started consistently photographing when I was around 15-16 years old. It started as a hobby, such as taking photos of my daughter, friends, and it just evolved into what it is today!
Taking photos is truly my passion and I love to connect with my clients. I love giving clients the best of my talent that I have to offer. I try to form a connection at your session so that we can get to know each other on a personal level as I believe that is what creates the best photos. By getting to know you, I can better understand what you are looking for, your style, and how you operate. I love making people feel beautiful. Seeing someone's face light up when they see the photo I captured of them is a feeling I can never describe nor tire of. My famous saying is, "Remember, I simply capture what I see and what everyone else sees". It is such a tremendous blessing to be able to capture all the perfect little moments, and with my lifestyle shoots that is exactly what I do. I capture real, raw, and natural experiences with every shoot.
What do I spend my time doing outside of photography? I am a Christian woman with a beautiful daughter! So I spend my Wednesdays and Sundays at church! I am a part of an amazing praise team that performs in church. I am a very family-oriented person, so anytime that I'm not editing or working shoots, it is being spent with those closest to me. Nature is another passion of mine. Most people refer to me as the 'hippy child'. Any chance I get to be outside exploring and taking in God's beautiful masterpiece, I do so! I enjoy being a mother, painting, singing, plants, animals, theater, art, and honestly watching Netflix at night! Can I consider that last one a hobby? Ha! Most likely not! I probably shouldn't have put that in there! But now you know me on a true, raw, personal level along with all the things I enjoy doing!
My personality? People describe me as a goofball! I am very out-going! I LOVE talking to people! I just love people! I LOVE joking and having fun. I am very direct and myself from the first time you meet me. Being positive is a big thing of mine, and I help bring that to your session! I avoid negativity as much as I can. I believe that you speak is what you get in existence. You reap what you sow. I am a very happy, peaceful soul who also loves to relax and enjoy peace. I enjoy the simple things in life, to say the least. I try and remain confident yet HUMBLE. I always challenge myself to do better. I strive to always grow into the person that I am today!
